Nikis Stadl

Where night becomes day

Having learned from the best

& now let’s party

Niki Ganahl

The father of Après-ski

He opened Nikis Stadl après-ski restaurant back in 1989 as a place for free spirits, unique personalities and party animals. He himself used to take to the stage as DJ, entertainer and singer at the so-called “5 o’clock teatime” and always thrilled the audience. The original teatime became the legendary après-ski party. Niki was instrumental in developing this concept and became a legend in the industry over the course of more than 30 years. His daily après-ski shows were an absolute must for all holiday enthusiasts in Ischgl.

The 10 gold discs he received and the numerous awards he won are testament to his impressive career:

  • 2005 Mister Top of the Mountains
  • 2006 Award for the Best Stage Performance
  • 2009 Touristic Award
  • 2010 Best Après-Ski Hut in the Alps

Niki's hearts

He regularly handed out red Nikis Stadl hearts to his regular guests to show his appreciation.

Niki Ganahl passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 29 August 2015. His philosophy, his songs and also his zest for life will stay with us forever and will continue to characterise the Piz Buin hotel and Nikis Stadl.

Niki, thank you for everything – we will never forget you.

Thank you niki
